A new Gallup poll indicates that the obesity rate among U.S. adults has declined over the past three years as the number of people utilizing GLP-1 weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy has risen sharply.
The poll found that women have a higher obesity rate than men and utilize weight management medications more often. People between the ages of 40 and 64 have higher obesity rates than other age groups and also use GLP-1 drugs more often.
However, the poll also reported that the rate of diabetes in the United States has climbed to a record high.
