A Patterson woman was arrested in connection with the theft of an electric bicycle outside a local grocery store, according to the Newman Police Department.
On April 4, Officer Gil responded to a report of grand theft at Nob Hill Foods. The victim reported their electric bicycle had been stolen while they were shopping inside the store.
Surveillance footage showed a female suspect, later identified as Sarah Schaa, 28, of Patterson, leaving the scene on the stolen bicycle.
On April 14, Newman officers located Schaa in Patterson, where she admitted to the theft. She was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of grand theft, theft with prior convictions, and violation of probation.
