Singer Tish Hyman stated that her membership at a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles was canceled after she confronted a man using the women’s locker room.
Hyman, 42, shared a video of the confrontation and said the gym terminated her membership the following Sunday. The New York Post reported on the situation.
“I had repeatedly made written reports on this man for coming into our women’s locker room harassing us, and the gym staff has done absolutely nothing!!”
“He has disrespected me multiple times, and I’ve only been ignored when I quietly reported it. But today I made noise!!”
She described how the man followed her into the locker room and verbally abused her:
“Today as I walked into the locker room he came in behind me and called me a b*tch in a deep angry voice. I RAN OUT INTO THE GYM SCREAMING THERE IS A MAN IN THE REST ROOM!!”
Hyman added that she called for help, and male gym members got involved, which finally prompted the staff to take action:
“THANK GOD and the staff finally decided to act.”
The video shows the man in black clothing engaged in a tense back-and-forth with another person. Hyman is heard shouting:
“Now he knows how to be a man, right? Stay outta the women’s locker room! He needs to have his gym membership revoked for that s–t!”
She also refers to the previous complaints she made about the individual.
This case highlights the serious concerns around safety and management responsiveness in public gym spaces when dealing with harassment issues.
